This Mother’s Day, set the table for the ones who deserve it most. Deadly Rabbits Concepts’ beloved neighbourhood restaurants are pulling out all the stops to celebrate motherhood with warmth, great food, and just the right amount of indulgence — across two glorious days, Saturday and Sunday, 9 and 10 May 2026.

Gather the family and raise a glass at À Poêle French Bistro in Taikoo; the casual Italian charm of Ask for Alonzo, with locations across Wan Chai, Quarry Bay, Tai Hang, Happy Valley, SoHo, and Sha Tin; and the sun-drenched Spanish flavours of Qué Pasa Tapas in Tai Hang. Each venue has crafted a special menu that strikes the perfect balance between festive and fuss-free — thoughtfully priced so the whole family can celebrate without reservation.

Families are invited to slow down and savour the season at À Poêle French Bistro, the intimate French bistro quietly nestled in the heart of Taikoo Shing. Running on Saturday and Sunday, 9 and 10 May 2026, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm and priced at HK$268 per person, this three-course Seafood Brunch is an unhurried celebration of classic French flavours — oysters, great wine, and the kind of lingering weekend lunch that mothers truly deserve.

To make it even more festive, À Poêle offers an optional add-on of 90-minute free-flow package for HK$198 per person, featuring a handpicked selection of crisp French wines alongside a trio of brunch cocktails: the effervescent Mimosa and Bloody Mary — a brunch classic of vodka, fresh tomato juice, and a sharp kick of spice — and the indulgent Noisette Espresso, a velvety blend of white rum, freshly pulled espresso, and hazelnut that doubles beautifully as liquid dessert.

The meal opens with a showstopping Seafood Platter — a generous spread of freshly shucked oysters glistening on ice, plump poached shrimps, tender whelks, and silky Crudo, served with a selection of classic condiments to dress as you please.

For the main course, three comforting choices await: the bistro’s signature Merguez Sausage Orecchiette, where North African-spiced beef and lamb sausages meet ear-shaped orecchiette pasta in a boldly flavoured, satisfying tangle; the timeless Beef Cheek Bourguignon, featuring meltingly tender beef cheek and earthy button mushrooms slow-braised in a deep, wine-dark sauce, resting atop a cloud of silky mashed potatoes; or the brasserie favourite Steamed Mussels, plump Brittany-style mussels steamed in fragrant white wine and butter, served with your choice of grilled sourdough or crispy golden frites.

The sweet finale is the Chocolate Trio for Mama, a trio of chocolate pleasures presented with love: a handcrafted artisan truffle, an airy velvety mousse, and a warm, yielding chocolate cake — a fitting send-off for the woman who deserves it all.

À Poêle French Bistro offers an authentic taste of France in a warm and intimate setting. The bistro is celebrated for its classic French cuisine, crafted with quality ingredients. À Poêle is the go-to destination for leisurely brunches, convivial dinners, and every occasion worth raising a glass in between. Three-course Mother’s Day Italian Menu for HK$278 with All-day Free-flow Option at Ask for Alonzo

Hong Kong’s most beloved Italian neighbourhood trattoria, Ask for Alonzo, spanning six vibrant locations across Quarry Bay, Tai Hang, Happy Valley, Star Street, SoHo, and Sha Tin, is pulling out all the Italian charm this Mother’s Day with a special All-Day menu available throughout the entire weekend. Whether Mama prefers a leisurely midday feast or a lively evening dinner, the menu is designed to fit the family’s schedule without compromise.

The three-course menu, priced at HK$278 per person, will be available for lunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday, 9 and 10 May 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Elevate the celebration with an irresistible free-flow upgrade at HK$198 per person: two full hours of flowing prosecco, wines, and beer to keep the table toasting. This package is available for both lunch and dinner across the full Mother’s Day weekend.

To begin, guests select from four inviting starters. The Seared Tuna arrives pan-seared to a gorgeous blush, resting on a bed of peppery rocket, sweet-tart dried cherry tomatoes, and a bright lemon dressing; the Crispy Fried Calamari comes light and greaseless with a satisfying crunch, lifted by briny capers and a sharp lemon mayonnaise; an Italian Cold Cuts and Cheese Platter brings together Italy’s finest cured meats and aged cheeses in one beautiful spread; while the Creamy Burrata, torn at the table to reveal its luscious creamy heart, paired with jewel-toned heirloom tomatoes, fragrant fresh basil, and a drizzle of aged balsamic, is simply summer on a plate.

For mains, five beloved pasta and risotto dishes are on offer. Alonzo’s Signature Carbonara is the real Roman deal — a silky emulsion of farm-fresh eggs and aged mixed cheeses, lavished with shards of sizzling Guanciale cured pork cheek and a generous crack of black pepper, with no cream in sight; the earthy Truffle and Mushroom Ragout Linguine weaves silky ribbons of pasta through a fragrant, umami-rich sauce of wild mushrooms and black truffle — a deeply luxurious, meat-free main worth every indulgent bite; the punchy Rigatoni Amatriciana pairs ridged rigatoni with a bold, gutsy sauce of slow-rendered Roman Guanciale, sweet San Marzano tomatoes, and a snowfall of shaved Parmigiano — rustic, robust, and utterly satisfying; the briny Spaghetti alle Vongole showcases fat, freshly shucked clams tossed with spaghetti in a fragrant, light-handed sauce of garlic, dry white wine, a whisper of chilli, lemon zest, and Italian flat-leaf parsley; and for something truly special, the Prawn and Asparagus Risotto, slow-stirred to silky, wave-like perfection and finished in a rich, coral-hued lobster bisque, crowned with sweet tiger prawns and tender asparagus spears.

No Italian feast is complete without dessert, and Ask for Alonzo's Signature Tiramisu does not disappoint — mascarpone-laden, espresso-soaked, and dusted with the finest bitter cocoa, it is a dessert that never goes out of style..

Mother’s Day Lobster Paella & Tapas Feast at Qué Pasa Tapas

This Mother’s Day, Qué Pasa Tapas in Tai Hang turns up the heat with a Mother’s Day Lobster Paella Sharing Feast that puts the very best of Spain at the centre of the table.

Available all day from 11 am until closing on 9 and 10 May 2026, priced at HK$548 for two guests, the feast begins with a trio of classic sharing tapas: the Pan con Tomate — grilled bread rubbed with ripe tomato and a generous pour of olive oil— alongside the coveted Jamón de Teruel — the prestigious, melt-on-the-tongue white pig ham from Aragon, carrying Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) status and prized for its sweet, nutty depth — and the crowd-pleasing Padron Peppers, blistered in a searingly hot pan and finished with flakes of sea salt — deceptively simple, utterly addictive, and the perfect opener to what comes next.

Then the centrepiece arrives: the Lobster Paella, arriving in a sizzling pan fragrant with smoke and saffron. Bomba rice from Valencia — the gold standard of paella rice, prized for its ability to absorb maximum flavour without turning mushy — is cooked low and slow with homemade fish fumet, sofrito, and hand-picked Valencian saffron, and crowned with ink-dark squid, sweet snow peas, and a whole succulent lobster split and draped ceremoniously across the pan.

To close on a sweet note, the caramelised Espresso Flan — a trembling, burnished custard suffused with deep espresso bitterness and a glossy caramel shell — is the perfect, elegant send-off that will put a smile on every mama’s face.

Beyond the sharing feast, Qué Pasa also serves its beloved à la carte brunch on both Saturday and Sunday, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Relaxed, flexible, and excellent value, the brunch menu features a colourful spread of Spanish-inspired egg dishes and tapas to mix and match at leisure — ideal for those who prefer a more casual, free-spirited Mother’s Day morning with the family.

Qué Pasa (pronounced as "ke pa sa") takes its name from the Spanish word for ‘what’s up?’ or ‘what are you doing?’ This playful, welcoming name perfectly captures the spirit of the place: a space where guests are encouraged to slow down, pull up a chair, and embrace the lively spirit of tapas dining, and has quickly won the hearts of the local community with its smoky, wood-fired grills, soul-warming tapas, and a wine list to match — a go-to neighbourhood hotspot for bold Spanish flavours at prices everyone can celebrate.

It is located at G/F, 98 Tung Lo Wan Road, Tai Hang; for more information and reservations, please visit www.quepasatapas.com, WhatsApp +852 9169 0298, or follow Qué Pasa on Instagram @quepasahk.

About Deadly Rabbits Concepts

Founded in 2019, Deadly Rabbits Concepts is a Hong Kong-based dining group dedicated to crafting high-quality yet affordable European dining experiences. The group's name draws its inspiration from the whimsical world of Monty Python, paired with the delightfully absurd sense of humour that permeates Poland, the homeland of Bart, founder of Deadly Rabbits Concepts, who believed that the F&B industry should embody fun and light-heartedness. This belief was creatively expressed through the group’s playful logo and unique name, signalling their passion for what they do.

This creative group is also the driving force behind several of the city’s beloved neighbourhood dining spots. Among their successful establishments is the modern Italian restaurant Ask for Alonzo, which is located at six bustling locations: Wan Chai, Quarry Bay, Tai Hang, Happy Valley, Soho, and Shatin. Adding to its impressive portfolio are À Poêle French Bistro in Taikoo and Qué Pasa Spanish Tapas Y Vino, a vibrant spot that brings lively flavours of Spanish tapas and wine to Tai Hang.

In September 2025, the group marked a major milestone in its international growth with the opening of its first overseas Ask for Alonzo’s outpost in Poland, located in the iconic Varso Tower—the tallest building in both Poland and the European Union. Building on this momentum, the group also launched The Slavic Social, a modern Polish restaurant and cocktail bar at Hilton Warsaw City, which doubles as the business club The Slavic Lab. Crafted by Polish talent and using ingredients primarily sourced from Poland, The Slavic Social celebrates regional flavours and native botanicals, elevating classic dishes with modern techniques and serving cocktails inspired by the wild beauty of the Slavic landscape.

With a growing presence in Hong Kong and an expansion to Poland, Deadly Rabbits Concepts remains committed to sharing culinary joy across borders.
