This Valentine's Day, let the sparks fly with an exhilarating voyage through Middle Eastern culinary treasures, including the social media sensation Golden Dubai Chocolate and the captivating charm of romantic poetry at BEDU, to ensure the flames of passion burn bright.
BEDU’s Valentine’s Day sharing menu is available on 14 February 2025; it is priced at HK$695 per person for a selection of sharing starters, two main courses and a special dessert.
At BEDU, not only will epicures delight in the exquisite flavours and unique creations of Persian head chef Ali Ahmadpour, but all diners will also receive a charming keepsake photo. In a nod to the cherished Persian tradition of sharing poetry at the table during festivals, BEDU’s team will recite translated verses from Hafez, the celebrated 14th-century Persian poet known for his eloquent and deeply symbolic verse, table side. This special touch promises an enchanting dining experience that transcends the ordinary.
Like many relationships, the meal begins with a sense of discovery in many textures and flavours, the Mezze Platter comes with Beetroot Hummus with Lamb Baharat, served with Radicchio Salad and warm Pita Bread.
To follow, enjoy the Salmon Crudo, the raw sliced salmon is marinated with red cabbage juice, served with beetroot sauce, orange slice and walnut; and Greek Saganaki, made with feta cheese wrapped in crispy filo pastry and baked to perfection, topped with honey and fresh fig, it is crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside.
Two exquisite main courses designed for sharing will be served to the table. First, savour the tender Pan-seared Red Snapper paired with vibrant green peas and a silky cream sauce, delicately finished with a drizzle of fragrant basil oil and crowned with Oscietra caviar. Next, indulge in BEDU’s iconic succulent Rack of Lamb, accompanied by a zesty sweet and sour pomegranate sauce, nestled on a bed of creamy green hummus with a sprinkle of blue salt, yuzu sumac, and beetroot “caviar” that burst with flavour.
No Valentine’s Day meal would be complete without sweet finishes, and the amour-enhancing menu at BEDU features the social media sensation Golden Dubai Chocolate, specially crafted by Chef Ahmadpour. Made with crispy Kataifi, pistachio, tahini, vanilla and chocolate, this decadent heart-shaped sweet treat features a blend of textures and flavours. The base layer combines a delicate Kataifi pastry with rich tahini and vibrant green pistachios. Above this, a layer of chocolate-infused pistachio offers a nutty crunch, followed by a smooth layer of vanilla cream. The confection is covered in luscious milk chocolate and decorated with dark chocolate curls, ensuring every bite is as sumptuous as visually stunning.
