This Valentine’s weekend, Ask for Alonzo invites couples to slow down, share a table, and celebrate love over comforting, honest Italian cooking. The modern Italian trattoria, with six convenient locations across Hong Kong (Quarry Bay, Tai Hang, Happy Valley, Star Street, SoHo and Sha Tin), is unveiling a two-day Valentine’s Dinner menu that focuses on simple, heartwarming flavours, generous portions, and exceptional value—exactly what a relaxed, genuine Italian celebration should feel like.

Available during dinner service on 14 and 15 February 2026 (Saturday and Sunday), the five-course Valentine’s Dinner menu is priced at just HK$688 per couple, making it an approachable yet special way to mark the occasion. To begin the evening on a festive note, each guest will receive a complimentary glass of prosecco upon arrival, inviting couples to raise a toast to the weekend ahead, Italian-style.

Guests can also choose to continue the celebration with Bernard Lonclas Blanc de Blancs NV champagne at a special price of HK$498 per bottle, adding an extra touch of sparkle without compromising on value.

True to its trattoria roots, Ask for Alonzo’s Valentine’s menu is built on classic Italian traditions, with a focus on honest cooking, familiar recipes, and sharing good food in good company. The experience begins with antipasti to share, with Pan-Seared Scallops with corn succotash and cherry tomatoes. Alongside comes a generous Bruschetta topped with creamy stracciatella, sundried tomato, and crudo prosciutto, combining creamy cheese, deeply flavoured tomato, and silky cured ham on crisp bread—a quintessential example of how simple, quality ingredients speak for themselves in Italian cooking.

The meal then moves into the all-important pasta course, the heart of any Italian dinner. Guests will tuck into Mezzi Rigatoni with beef cheek ragù and shaved parmesan, a dish that showcases the soul of Italian comfort: slow-cooked, tender beef cheeks folded through al dente pasta, lifted by fragrant rosemary and finished with the savoury richness of parmesan. It is the kind of plate made for lingering over, sharing bites, and mopping up every last bit of sauce.

For the main course, couples can choose from three hearty options that reflect the breadth of Italy’s coastal and countryside flavours: Risotto ai Frutti di Mare, brimming with mussels, prawns, octopus, and calamari—a creamy, satisfying rice dish that combines the briny sweetness of the sea with the comforting texture of risotto. Pan-Seared Striploin with baby asparagus and mashed potatoes, a straightforward, honest plate that pairs a well-cooked piece of beef with classic sides, letting the quality of the ingredients shine. Those seeking a lighter or more vegetable-forward main can go for the Pan-Roasted Primavera Salad, a colourful mix of Italian vegetables and pine nuts that celebrates seasonality and texture in a wholesome, satisfying way.

No Italian meal is complete without dessert, and Ask for Alonzo ends the evening with a true crowd-pleaser: Ask for Alonzo’s Signature Tiramisu. Creamy, coffee-soaked, and delicately layered, it offers the perfect sweet finish—familiar, comforting, and made for sharing spoonful by spoonful.

Whether in Quarry Bay, Tai Hang, Happy Valley, Star Street, SoHo or Sha Tin, guests can expect the same warm hospitality, honest flavours, and unpretentious trattoria charm that define Ask for Alonzo’s approach to Italian dining.
