Timeless Allure Meets Contemporary Vibrancy

The Stage's theatrical design elements celebrate the vibrant spirit of 1970s Italian cabaret, encapsulating a delightful blend of elegance and entertainment that revitalises the city's glamour. Located on the second floor of Wan Chai heritage landmark Woo Cheong Pawn Shop and designed by award-winning Italian MAG Design Studio, The Stage joins sophisticated Neapolitan restaurant Casa Sophia Loren and its street-level pizzeria as part of Sophia Loren Hong Kong’s ‘time capsule’ concept, paying homage to Italy’s fun-loving “dolce vita" of the 1960s and 70s immortalised by film director Federico Fellini.

Accommodating up to 80 seated and 130 standing guests, the venue also features a semi-covered alfresco terrace extending along the entire street in front of the historic veranda-façade icon, providing space for 50 guests. This unique spot allows patrons to enjoy their favourite cocktails while immersing themselves in the vibrant Wan Chai atmosphere, with a picturesque view of the bustling Johnston Road tramway.

The striking "STAGE" illuminated signage beckons patrons into a meticulously curated space adorned with vibrant hues and opulent décor. It sets a spellbinding ambience, welcoming guests on a “journey of glamour, finesse, and elegance.” A lush, green velvet Chesterfield banquet gracefully winds around the periphery, complemented by matching plush lounge-style chairs and elegant marble tables. The intimate setting, accentuated by Art-Deco-styled vintage pendant ceiling lamps casting a gentle, deliberate glow, creates a warm and sensual atmosphere.

The performance stage is adorned with velvet curtains and illuminated by Broadway-inspired light bulbs, imbuing the captivating space with a theatrical flair that oozes escapism. A dynamic lineup of live entertainment breathes vitality into the space, showcasing emerging and established jazz and live music talent from Wednesday to Saturday, 9 pm to 1 am. This ever-evolving roster makes The Stage an enchanting nightlife destination, allowing guests to free their minds, dance and drink their cares away sensibly.

Located at 2/F, 60-66 Johnston Road, Wan Chai, The Stage Music Bar is open from Tuesday to Sunday and closed on Monday. For more information and reservations, please visit www.heritage1888.com, call +852 3594 6302, or follow @thestagehk Instagram.
