The Bayside and O’Thai Unveil Daily Afternoon Tea Sets & Live Music Evenings

Set against Victoria Harbour, The Bayside and O’Thai celebrate the autumn season by launching new afternoon tea menus. Beginning this November, with the weather ideal for outdoor dining, both venues offer daily afternoon tea sets featuring savoury treats that complement Hong Kong’s autumn atmosphere.

Located along Whampoa Promenade in Hung Hom, each venue has its own indoor dining space and kitchen, ensuring authentic cuisine. A spacious bar connects the two restaurants, with a shared alfresco area that enhances the harbour-side experience.

Harbourfront outdoor seating allows guests to enjoy the sun and panoramic views, creating a refined afternoon ritual. The Bayside offers a Western-inspired tea set with bold, comforting flavours, while O’Thai provides an Asian-influenced set with Thai bites and traditional favourites. Guests can choose either set or share both among friends. The venues offer stunning views to enjoy these flavours, paired with teas and beverages amidst the harbour ambience and autumn light. Whether for a casual catch-up or seasonal celebration, diners experience sea breeze, sunshine, and thoughtfully crafted menus.

Available daily from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm, both menus offer specially curated selections of savoury bites, with many guests favouring a savoury-forward tea experience over an all-sweet affair. Both afternoon tea sets are priced at HK$148 per person and include a tea set of your choice from The Bayside or O’Thai, with a choice of coffee or tea. For those who wish to enhance the experience, an optional HK$30 add-on allows guests to enjoy a glass of Prosecco or Sangria.

The Bayside Presents Mediterranean Flavours Afternoon Tea Platter

The Bayside’s Afternoon Tea Platter places Mediterranean-inspired comfort dishes centre stage, featuring Jamón Ibérico served with crusty Crystal Tomato Bread; Salmon Tartare; a Crab Cake made with fresh crab meat, mayonnaise, Tabasco and mustard, pan-fried for a crispy exterior and juicy interior; a Fish Taco crafted from battered fresh cod, topped with crunchy slaw; a Wagyu Beef Slider crowned with its own flavourful richness; and an indulgent sweet finish with a Creamy Tiramisu that provides a light counterpoint to the savoury offerings.

Spice and Savoury Afternoon Tea Set by O’Thai

Guests seeking an Asian flavour can choose the O’Thai Afternoon Tea Set, which offers a well-balanced mix of spices and savoury tastes. It includes the flaky Lobster Vol-au-Vent, a small pastry shell filled with tender lobster meat; Spiced Soft Shell Crab, which is deep-fried to perfection; pan-seared Shrimp Cake featuring juicy, slightly al dente chunks of fresh shrimp; and a charcoal-grilled Chicken Skewer accompanied by a sweet and savoury peanut sauce.

The set also features the Impossible Slider, a meatless mini burger topped with sriracha mayo, providing a creamy, mildly spicy flavour and a satisfying bite. For dessert, Mango Sticky Rice combines ripe mango with rich, coconut-scented rice, adding a tropical touch and balancing sweetness to the platter.
