Secret Theatre invites you to one of Hong Kong’s most luxurious five-star hotels, Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, for an immersive chiller rebus in which the audience will have the power to decide the evening’s outcome.
Following the roaring success and record-breaking sold-out run of The Bonded City’s site-specific immersive show in 2023, Secret Theatre is back in town this year with the world premiere of “Art of Dying,” a crazed immersive production split over three floors and four activation areas at the spectacular Grand Hyatt Hong Kong that’s guaranteed to impress.
Audiences are invited to dive into the heart-pounding action with Secret Theatre’s “Art of Dying”, a multi-layered immersive theatrical thriller in which two worlds collide in a high-stakes showdown. Audiences will become part of the story as they choose their path: aligning with the dark allure of inspired gangsters or joining the ranks of elite special agents determined to prevent the destructive villains’ deadly plans. This captivating experience merges the best immersive theatre with live and seductive performances where the guests will be at the centre of it all. Guests choose to delve deep into the action and influence the uncovering outcomes or simply enjoy the adrenaline-filled ride.
Great for groups, pairs, or lone wolves, the show will test your espionage skills and determine whether you intuitively desire to challenge the moral high ground. This one-of-a-kind show is set to unfold at the luxurious Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, boasting multiple exclusive floors and thematic spaces, offering a unique experience typically inaccessible to the general public.
Written and directed by acclaimed Artistic Director Richard Crawford, “Art of Dying” by Secret Theatre will commence at 7:00 pm every Thursday to Sunday from 24 October until the end of November 2024 for a limited run (blackout dates apply). This immersive experience is limited to three shows per week.






The early bird price for show entry is HK$749 per person, valid until 24 October 2024, and normal pricing is HK$850 per person. Enhance the experience with the early bird VIP ticket at HK$1,799 before 24 October 2024 (HK$1,999 per person for normal VIP tickets), which includes free flow of champagne from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm, four speciality premium cocktails, an indulgent food selection specially crafted for the show, private parking, concierge service with cloakroom access, and an additional Secret Experience.
VIP guests will indulge in the savoury and sweet selection, specially designed by Grand Hyatt Hong Kong’s Executive Chef Nikolaos Lekkas. Each elevated item complements the adds an extra layer of enjoyment and satisfaction for patrons. Indulge in the Joker’s Caviar Surprise, house-smoked salmon topped with sour cream, and Oscietra caviar; Foie Gras Sphère made with creamy foie gras, pistachio, glazed with Oporto jelly; Mad Mini Wagyu Beef Sliders with aged cheddar cheese; Sixxxx Ham and Cheese toasties with black truffle; Black Widows Romanov Confit Egg with champagne sabayon and imperial Ikura; Jokes on You made with strawberry, yoghurt, and coated with chocolate; which is inspired by the Joker’s love of candy and sweet; and many more.

The VIP package also comes with four character and performance-inspired speciality premium cocktails, including The Riddler, a refreshing blend of basil-infused gin, floral chamomile syrup, zesty lime juice and topped with soda and butterfly pea tea float; Harley Quinn is a sophisticated and innovative twist on the beloved classic espresso martini; crafted with earl grey-infused vodka, coffee liqueur, espresso, with a light touch of sugar; The Joker is made with Campari, red vermouth, saffron syrup and soda; and Sixxx embodies the essence of herbal which features beetroot-infused vodka, jasmine tea syrup, lime juice and topped with fizzy ginger beer.
The "Art of Dying" will held in a series of luxurious secret locations at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong. Once guests purchase their show tickets, they will receive secret instructions that reveal not only the precise location but also a selection of details like the character options of heroism vs villainy, attire suggestions to play the part and a comprehensive breakdown of the evening program, ensuring a seamless and enthralling adventure for everyone.

About Artistic Director - Richard Crawford
Richard Crawford is a British theatre director and actor known for the Secret Theatre Project. His productions are typically site-specific and immersive. He is credited with introducing immersive theatrical productions to Hong Kong and Singapore. In 2010, he directed the Brooklyn Studio Lab's world premiere of Edward Scissorhands in New York. Some of his productions included the Secret Theatre Project has also been named “ the coolest show in London” by GQ magazines.
