Renowned for its ever-evolving roster of live jazz performances, thematic dance acts, and daily DJ routine, Maggie Choo’s has become a haven for those seeking more than just a night out.
Now, Maggie Choo’s is taking the cabaret concept in full swing and is proudly announcing an exhilarating new addition to its repertoire: with its debut headline, cabaret show will be held every Thursday (9 pm to 11 pm), with more weekly show days available in March.
Guests will enjoy a vibrant mix of live vocals, a captivating live band, and a troupe of international dancers making their Hong Kong debut. Each performance is a visual allure, featuring eclectic dance styles—from jazz and ballet to classic cabaret numbers—brought to life with iconic elements like top hats and exquisite tailor-made costumes, promises to set a new benchmark for nightlife entertainment in Hong Kong.
The creative force behind this bold new production is Maggie Choo’s Entertainment Director and Costume Designer, Maria Mayorova, whose visionary work spans Hong Kong, Guangzhou, and Bangkok. With years of experience directing dance programs at a professional dance school in Guangzhou, Maria has spent recent years in Hong Kong curating show-stopping nightlife entertainment programs and breathtaking visual designs for renowned hotels, restaurants, and bars. Her ability to create unforgettable experiences has solidified her reputation as a true icon of Hong Kong’s vibrant nightlife scene.
Adding to the magic, the show is choreographed by award-winning choreographer Federica Gargano. With a cast of international dancers hailing from Australia, Italy, UK and France, Federica’s choreography brings an enchanting balance of elegance, sensuality, and a touch of light-hearted playfulness. Throughout the night, performers move fluidly through the space, inviting audience interaction and creating an immersive and interactive experience.
A Story Told Through Acts and Elegance

The two-act cabaret show begins with a high-energy opener, “Maggie Choo’s Song,” a swing-infused number that sets the tone for the night. Guests are immediately transported into the world of Maggie Choo’s red-and-gold cheongsams, which evoke the nostalgia of Hong Kong's golden era, the muse behind Maggie Choo’s concept.
To follow, a Vietnamese-inspired number, “Lean On,” where peacock motifs and Southeast Asian silhouettes meet in an elegant tribute to the venue designer Ashley Sutton’s iconic Ophelia peacock concept.
The classic cabaret hit, “Big Spender,” with a playful twist, featuring a performer in a balloon dress interacting with the crowd; followed by a glamorous and fun number in Black and Gold, featuring a giant Martini glass filled with confetti and signature cabaret flair.
The first act concludes with a short break, allowing the audience to explore the bar’s mesmerising setting while topping up their glasses and guessing the playful question, “Where’s Maggie Choo?”
The Second Act dives deeper into the cabaret’s daring charm, presenting performances filled with sensuality and show-stopping theatrics, including a tempting rendition of a celebration of confidence and jazz performed in bold leopard print costume; a mesmerising ballet-inspired routine performed atop the venue’s piano, blending contemporary softness with elegance; and a grand finale with “Bang Bang,” featuring feathers, pearls, and a nod to the glamorous, old-world cabaret spectacle. The show ends with a special announcement crowning a lucky guest as a winner of the evening – ensuring every show is interactive, fun, and memorable.
The theme of the cabaret show will change every three months, and new acts will be introduced regularly to keep the experience fresh and exciting for returning loyal guests. The experience at Maggie Choo's is complemented by an ever-changing roster of emerging and established jazz every day from 8 pm onwards. At the same time, the resident and guest DJs spin beat past midnight, making Maggie Choo's an enchanting and entertaining nightspot that brings a well-rounded mix of music and entertainment to nightlife goers.
New Cabaret-Inspired Cocktail Creations

Staying true to its reputation of classic elegance yet aligning with the launch of the cabaret show, Maggie Choo’s new cocktail additions feature classic elixirs reimagined with modern twists and Asian influences. Priced at HK$158 per cocktail, and among the exclusive cocktail menu's highlights are three new creations that embody Maggie Choo’s philosophy of merging artistry.
Her Aspirations
A vibrant reinterpretation of the classic Daiquiri, this rum-based concoction combines the sweetness of mango with the tangy brightness of yuzu. Her Aspirations reflects the confident and light-hearted ethos of Maggie Choo’s cabaret performances.
Remains of Mystery
This cocktail is a soulful exploration of depth and earthiness. Built on a foundation of black tea, it is mixed with butterfly pea gin, providing its signature blue hue, and elevated by house-infused salted plum syrup and citrus. With a delicate touch of salinity enhancing its layers, Remains of Mystery is a poetic nod to the intrigue and sophistication of the cabaret’s allure.
Maggie’s Martini
A homage to the Martinez, Maggie’s Martini has a subtle Asian influence, and it is made with gin, Heering Cherry liqueur, sweet vermouth, cherry maraschino, and a touch of cardamom bitters. Bold yet smooth on the palate, it mirrors the elegance and splendour of the cabaret.
The Awe-Inspiring Interior

Maggie Choo’s is the creative vision of the award-winning architect and design maverick Ashley Sutton, the visionary who conceived such unique settings as Iron Fairies, The Mixing Room, and Dragonfly. Australia-born Ashley Sutton became a global sensation when he published his first illustrated fairy tale book, a bestseller and the inspiration for Iron Fairies, one of his most successful nightlife concepts to date. Since then, the designer has celebrated his vivid imagination with surreal, extraordinary entertainment dreamscapes, from otherworldly aviary-themed Ophelia to the kaleidoscopic Dragonfly. Through each new venue, Sutton's creative spirit and vivid narratives bring his characters and creations to life, pushing boundaries with unparalleled craft and artistry.
Maggie Choo's takes after Sutton's incredible storytelling, where Maggie Choo is the heroine of the concept. An orphaned girl who inherited her war-torn family's antique shop, Maggie Choo discovered a hidden door behind her antique shop, leading to an abandoned bank built by the East India Company in 1847 that has since been transformed into an extravagant secret cabaret destination, one where the most intriguing patrons with the utmost interesting stories to tell muse over classic concoctions.
Dressed by Sutton in leather, imported teak and copper reminiscent of the space's banking days, a past that's accentuated by a giant antique-style bank vault door, Maggie Choo's boasts a feature wall decorated with ornate colonial-style plaster moulding and a vintage clock installation, as well as two iron spiral staircases that lead up to an attic space. A latticework of iron panels adorns the entire ceiling, while countless vintage-style safe deposit boxes grace one whole wall. The bar's intimate setting and dim lighting, courtesy of art-deco-style vintage pendant ceiling lamps that are deliberately illuminated, create a warm and sensual atmosphere. Other design highlights include vintage, green-coloured velvet chesterfields and bar stools to match the hand-crafted wooden tables; decorative sculptures in different sizes and, as a centrepiece, a grand piano. Each carefully selected element creates an unashamedly sexy and intimate space that instils mystery, intrigue and luxury.
Maggie Choo's also features a unique vintage bank teller counter-turned-cocktail bar space accentuated by touches of intricate metalwork and a giant vintage around-the-world map installed behind the bar. Guests can enjoy a range of cocktails front and centre at the marble-topped cocktail bar.
