Injecting a vibrant dose of Mediterranean living into the heart of Kai Tak Sports Park, La Baia emerges as a new all-day dining destination, seamlessly blending indoor and alfresco seating to cater to the dynamic lifestyles of local residents.
La Baia, meaning 'The Bay' in Italian, draws inspiration from sun-kissed Mediterranean coasts. Diners can anticipate the comforting flavours of Italy, cast through a comforting Mediterranean accent. The menu showcases rotating seasonal dishes, a selection of hand-crafted pizzas, and freshly made pastas, all inspired by the traditional Italian family kitchen, where each dish is created from scratch, offering a heartfelt culinary experience.
Nestled in the scenic waterfront Dining Cove at Kai Tak Sports Park, La Baia offers seating for up to 70 guests indoors. It is an ideal spot for comfort food, perfect for those heading to nearby Kai Tak Stadium for concerts or sporting events.
Stunning Mediterranean Coastal Living Interior
The interior design exudes the essence of a coastal getaway, showcasing a harmonious interplay of curved lines in patterns and furniture. The selection of materials, including wood, stone, and natural fibres, all in a palette reminiscent of the sea, fosters a natural flow throughout the space.
Plaster walls in earthy tones are complemented by vintage-inspired ceramic tile flooring, while elegant stone dining tables paired with handcrafted bamboo partitions create a rustic charm. Comfortable upholstered banquette seating and wooden chairs with handwoven details in shades of blue and brown invite a homely yet stylish atmosphere, accentuated by lush greenery and earthenware vases.
Upon entering La Baia, guests are greeted by a striking woven fabric installation in hues that echo ocean waves against sandbanks, flowing across the ceiling and establishing the desired coastal ambience.
An abundance of natural light floods the space through expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, elevating the sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere. As day turns to dusk, the space glows with a warm golden light from banks of suspended fabric pendant lamps, crafted to emulate bamboo, creating a serene island vacation feel that encourages guests to relax and enjoy their meals at leisure.
For those who prefer the outdoors, La Baia's sun-drenched alfresco patio comfortably accommodates 20 guests and welcomes families, friends, and even four-legged companions to unwind by the breezy waterfront.
