Since opening in 2018, Dragonfly has become a beloved retreat for locals and visitors seeking a visually stunning escape filled with live entertainment and creative cocktails. This year, the popular venue is enhancing its offerings, providing the perfect midday respite for those navigating Hong Kong's bustling lifestyle. The newly launched daytime menu features a daily set lunch designed to cater to the city’s diverse tastes. Additionally, there’s a charming daily afternoon tea set, perfect for anyone looking for a midday getaway. This makes Dragonfly the perfect place for a refreshing break from the city's hustle and bustle.

Additional Serene Lounge Space

With the previous indoor cocktail lounge accommodating 30 seated guests and the outdoor patio offering space for an additional 40, Dragonfly is delighted to unveil its latest expansion: an elegant saloon, or lounge space that welcomes an extra 22 guests. This thoughtfully designed area radiates tranquillity, inviting guests to indulge in expertly crafted cocktails and delightful afternoon teas within a serene atmosphere.

Two-Course Daily Lunch for HK$128

The exhilarating lunch menu at Dragonfly offers a delightful selection of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern flavours, ensuring there is something for every palate. It is available daily, including weekends, from 12 pm to 3 pm, and is priced at HK$128 for a two-course meal or HK$158 for a three-course meal. All sets come with a soft drink.

This sumptuous lunch begins with a choice of generous portion starters, featuring The Mezze Platter, which includes a selection of classic Middle Eastern cold mezze, including creamy hummus, smoky baba ghanoush, and tangy Muhammara made with roasted red bell pepper and pomegranate molasse, accompanied by warm pita bread and fresh Greek Salads—ideal for light eaters.

Other options include the Chicken Cobb Salad, which combines crisp romaine lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, avocado, crispy bacon, and blue cheese, all dressed with a mustard-vinegar dressing, making it a satisfying option. The Fattoush Salad, a beautiful Lebanese salad, offers a refreshing blend of seasonal, fresh vegetables, mixed herbs, and crispy bread, gently tossed in a zesty vinaigrette dressing.

These delectable starters are complemented by a selection of satisfying mains. Guests can choose from the Shish Tawook, featuring grilled chicken skewers marinated in yoghurt; the Grilled Lamb Rack, served with a sweet and smoky barbecue dressing for those seeking something heartier; or the Smoked and Barbecued Pork Ribs, accompanied by roasted tomatoes. Each main course includes the option of crispy potato wedges or French fries.

Guests can indulge in an enticing array of savoury dishes such as Wild Mushroom Quiche, Chicken Curry Toastie, Harissa Shrimp Croissant Sandwich, Smoked Ham and Cheese Bun, and Assorted Breads and Scones.

On the sweet side, guests will find exquisite treats like the Three-Layered Raspberry Cake, Orange Cream Parfait, Two Kinds Berry Tartlets, and Mini Macaroons.

Weekend Three-Hour Bottomless Free-Flow for HK$288

Enhance your weekend lunch and afternoon tea experience with the optional add-on of a bottomless free-flow package for those who seek a little extra. Available every Saturday and Sunday from 12 pm to 5 pm, this three-hour bottomless package is priced at HK$288 per person. It includes Bellinis, Bloody Marys, Mojitos, beer on tap, prosecco, and a selection of wines. This bottomless package can be paired with the food menu or enjoyed on its own, making weekend socialising even more enjoyable.

The Awe-Inspiring Interior

Dragonfly’s bohemian sanctuary transforms guests into a mystical ambience inspired by the Art Nouveau movement and the beauty of nature. Designed by the award-winning design visionary Ashley Sutton, Dragonfly features intriguing, otherworldly elements that captivate all senses and imagination. Reflecting the charm and elegance of the late 19th century, the space perfectly captures the essence of decadence and timeless artistry.

Upon entering Dragonfly, guests are transported to an enchanting underworld of mystery and Bohemian allure. The carefully curated lighting plays a pivotal role in creating a romantic and mysterious atmosphere, enveloping visitors in a warm glow that invites them to feel like part of a storybook. Dimly lit corners and softly illuminated sculptures evoke a sense of intrigue, encouraging guests to explore every enchanting detail.

Australia-born Ashley Sutton became a global sensation with the release of his first illustrated fairy tale book, which inspired the creation of Iron Fairies, one of his most successful nightlife concepts now available in many cities. Since then, he has celebrated his vivid imagination through surreal and extraordinary entertainment dreamscapes, from the otherworldly aviary-themed Ophelia to the Chinoserie-inspired Maggie Choo's, and the kaleidoscopic charm of Dragonfly.

Throughout the interior of Dragonfly, Sutton pays homage to the legendary American artist Louis Comfort Tiffany, renowned for his exquisite favrile glass and stained-glass creations. Guests are mesmerised by striking turquoise glass lamps adorned with yellow dragonflies. These patterned mosaics decorate the floors and tabletops, and a magnificent, large, human-form dragonfly with mosaic-patterned wings takes centre stage at the cocktail bar. Over 500 cast-iron dragonflies elegantly adorn the bar area and walls, further enhancing the whimsical experience.

Live Band Performance

Dragonfly's outdoor patio seamlessly flows into one of Tai Kwun’s iconic stone-paved walkways, inviting guests to soak in the rich historical ambience while enjoying a lively schedule of live band performances that enliven the setting on Fridays and Saturdays, 8 pm to 11 pm. Additionally, resident and guest DJs maintain the vibrant atmosphere from Thursday to Saturday, spinning tracks past midnight.
