Boutique Creative, Hong Kong's trailblazing creative studio, announces the launch of Become a Showgirl for a Day — an interactive workshop that invites women to explore movement, presence and body language, and to feel bold, capable and completely themselves, for one unforgettable afternoon.

More workshop than performance, the experience is built around learning: how to move with intention, how to hold a room, and how small shifts in body language — a shoulder roll, a walk, a steady gaze — can communicate confidence. Guests are guided through a private dance and movement class, styled in a curated wardrobe, photographed at their most self-assured, and welcomed with a glass of sparkling to mark the occasion.

"We wanted to create something that doesn’t exist anywhere else in Hong Kong," says Creative Director and Costume Designer Maria Mayorova. "It’s not about being looked at — it’s about learning to take up space, on your own terms. For one afternoon, the room belongs entirely to you."

Become a Showgirl for a Day is designed for any woman curious about movement, performance and self-expression — whether as a celebration, a gift, or simply a reason to try something new. Sessions run on weekends, with group bookings and private gifting options available on request.

The Creative Force Behind the Curtain

The force behind this new experience is Maria Mayorova, Creative Director and Costume Designer, whose artistic vision has shaped audiences across Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Bangkok.

With a career rooted in professional dance education — including years spent directing dance programmes at her own professional dance school in Guangzhou — Maria has been at the forefront of Hong Kong's nightlife and entertainment scene in recent years. Her work spans visual design, entertainment production and immersive event curation for some of the city's most celebrated venues, including leading hotels, prestigious private member clubs, restaurants and bars.

A respected figure in Hong Kong's nightlife world, Maria has trained numerous dancers and produced an extensive body of cabaret work at Maggie Choo's — the city's celebrated cabaret cocktail bar — where her productions have set a benchmark for theatrical craft. Her bespoke show experiences have featured at five-star hotels, private events and members' clubs across the region.

With Become a Showgirl for a Day, Maria brings this world of performance and stagecraft directly to the guest — turning decades of professional training into an intimate, joyful and genuinely instructive experience.
